FAQ

What areas does Lockwood Landscape Designs serve?

We design residential and commercial landscapes in the Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming areas.

How does the design process work?

The typical design process goes something like this. First, we talk on the phone about what your project entails; how big, just front yard, just back yard, or full yard. We offer different services based on your needs and our initial phone conversation will determine which service will best suit you. At this point we can give you a cost estimate for your project. Then we set an appointment to meet, where we walk around your yard and discuss your needs and desires for your new landscape.

Onsite Consultation

Occasionally we can do an onsite consultation. This is mostly for small areas in your yard or if you have a small front or back yard. With this service, we come out, measure the space (or spaces) and sit down with you, at that time to design your areas. The design is completed on the spot and when we leave, you have a planting plan to work from.

Full Landscape Design

This service is for someone who wants to redesign their yard or someone with a new construction. We will meet, measure your yard and talk to you about your needs and desires for your dream yard. We analyze your situation, lighting, drainage, etc. and we then head to the drawing board to design a preliminary plan. At this point, we review the preliminary plan with you; make any necessary changes and move on to what we refer to as the final plan. The final plan will be very detailed with a planting list, notes and we color it to help you visualize your new landscape.

How much will my project cost?

Each project is very unique and because of this it is difficult to say without knowing anything about your project how much the plan will cost. It really is dependent on what needs to be done and the scope of the entire project. For this reason, we prefer to talk before we come out so that we can discuss these things to help determine not only cost but also which service will be most suited to your individual needs.

How long will it take to complete my design and construction?

Typically, the design process will take 2 to 3 weeks from start to finish. As far as the construction part of the project, each will vary. Our contractor will partner with us at this time and we will walk you through the steps that will be implemented and how long they think your project will take to complete. Lockwood Landscape Designs takes pride in getting your design completed in a timely fashion as well as the construction process. We are with you every step of the way.

How much input will I have during the process?

You are a very important part of the design process. We are very happy when a client wants to be involved and will not move forward without your consent. We appreciate your input in every aspect of the process. Collaboration is what makes for a successful landscape for you to enjoy for many years to come.
